At the start of your facial, Nikki will analyze your skin using the latest skin analysis technology. This provides our clients with a comprehensive look at their skin before treatment.

This information is retained and then compared to your results as you follow the treatment plan recommended for you. 

Our SPA Facials use Touch as a powerful diagnostic tool, softening and prepping the skin to receive treatment. The products are applied using a combination of ancient and modern massage techniques from around the world. The hands of a highly trained Elemis Elite therapist are profoundly effective anti-aging tools.

    SHRINK PORE SIZE AND TIGHTEN SKIN

    Nikki’s Signature Facial - Glass Skin - is our ultimate facial designed for those who want skin with a Glass-like appearance, even without makeup!
    This is a non-invasive, deeply penetrating skincare therapy that is custom-tailored to your skin type and needs resulting in rejuvenated skin that is more hydrated and healthier.

    We start with a skin analysis showing the current condition of your skin with our computerized skin analyzer. We then begin the facial using the best Elemis products for a deep double cleanse combined with an Ozone steam, (which removes damaging toxins from the skin by opening the pores and allowing activated oxygen atoms to attach to and neutralize skin-damaging pollutants).

    Followed by blackhead extraction, tone, dermaplane, a facial massage, microdermabrasion, hydrodermabrasion, and a double mask.

    Using a small scalpel the esthetician very gently scrapes the surface of your skin using light, feathering strokes.

    Anyone who has unwanted facial hair or anyone who wants exfoliation can benefit from Dermaplaning. It is also great for pregnant women or those with super-sensitive skin since they can't use certain products and exfoliating treatments.

    The benefits of Dermaplane are instant glow, better makeup application, and the ability of your products to be more effective.

    Microdermabrasion (MDA) uses a diamond tip device to provide a medical-grade exfoliation of the skin to deep clean the pores and remove dead skin cells. It is suggested for hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, and deep-set wrinkles. Perfect for advanced skin concerns.

    After a series of treatments, your complexion can appear smoother, brighter, and more even in color.

    Hydrodermabrasion (also known as hydro facial) is a milder exfoliation for the skin using a device that applies a liquid solution to exfoliate and then suctions away dead skin, dirt, and debris from your pores. The handheld tool is then used to infuse the proper moisturizing serum into the skin - providing immediate results. Suggested for uneven skin tone, fine lines, dry skin, and mild to moderate acne.

BIOTEC Techniques

There are 5 different BIOTEC treatments to augment the Spa Facial. Each is described below along with the benefits of each treatment type.

1. ULTRASONIC

The Ultrasonic spatula uses a highly effective Piezoelectric energy causing 27,000 vibrations per second through a quartz/ceramic head. These rapid vibrations push skin impurities to the skin surface and cause any dead skin cells to become dislodged. The vibrating hand piece is used to deep cleanse and gently exfoliate the epidermis.

2. MICROCURRENT

Microcurrent is the only aesthetic technology that can physically firm and tone the skin, gently re-educating the facial muscles with small pulses of microcurrent. Each pulse mirrors the body’s own natural current, stimulating the skin’s own biological energy. The treatment tones and firms, visibly minimizes lines and improve contours.

3. GALVANIC

LED Light Therapy uses wavelengths of visible light, that differ according to color, and penetrate the skin at variable depths. LED light triggers biological processes within the skin and body, stimulating the cells, glands, nerves and muscles through unique frequency vibrations, that can help promote skin rejuvenation, to normalize and rebalance the skin. Within this treatment, Red or Blue light is applied, penetrating the deeper layers of the skin, delivering a bio stimulatory action.

5. OXYGEN INFUSION

Oxygen therapy uses powerful bursts of compressed air to infuse the skin with a combination of 95% pure oxygen with selected high potency actives. The active ingredients penetrate through the natural space between the epidermal skin cells into the deeper layers of the skin. Concentrated air pressure on skin tissue visibly plumps out lines, increases skin firmness and hydration, when used in conjunction with active skincare ingredients.

Spa facial aftercare tips

The following advice will ensure you get the most from your spa facial and minimise the chances of experiencing any irritation after your treatment:

Avoid any further skin treatments for at least 48 hours after your facial (increase this to 72 hours for exfoliant products and scrubs)

Avoid excessive sunlight and heat sources (such as saunas) for a minimum of 48 hours

Try to keep makeup application to a bare minimum for the first 24 hours following your facial – allow your skin to breathe and take full advantage of the treatment

Drink plenty of water to aid the flushing of toxins from your skin

You can purchase the products used during your facial enabling you to repeat the regime recommended by your therapist at home

Facials which use laser technology or chemicals have their own specific aftercare requirements – always follow the advice provided by your therapist

What is a facial treatment?

Facials are designed to boost the immediate appearance and overall health and longevity of the skin. 

What are the benefits of facial treatments?

A regular facial is ideal for maintaining good skin health and can leave you with a radiant complexion. There are many types of spa facial to choose from. For example, some aid skin elasticity, preventing sagging, wrinkles and other tell-tell ageing signs, while others help to combat dry skin ailments or acne.

Even the lucky few of you with perfect skin will enjoy the indulgent pleasure of a facial, which utilizes gentle massage techniques. Facial massages are not only relaxing; they also boost circulation and blood flow, helping the skin on your face to self-heal while re-energizing your mind.

What should I expect during a spa facial treatment?

Every ELEMIS Facial incorporates the power of 3 essential steps for optimum Skin Wellness.

ELEMIS signature multi-step cleasing method with gentle extractions that removes build up and daily pollutants, purifies pores, and prepare the skin for the next steps in treatment.

How should I prepare my skin for a facial treatment?

While you can continue to follow your usual skin routine ahead of your spa visit, you should avoid exfoliating masks and scrubs several days before your facial to prevent the risk of raw, or otherwise uncomfortable, skin caused by over-treatment.

You should try to arrive for your facial makeup-free. While the therapist may be happy to remove makeup for you, this extra step will need to be completed within your overall treatment time. Be sure to arrive promptly too, to get the very most from your appointment.

Are skin breakouts (i.e. spots) common after undergoing a facial?

Some clients report the appearance of new spots within 48 hours after a facial. This can be a fairly common reaction – it simply indicates your skin is detoxifying itself, and a glowing complexion should soon follow.

While spots are far from guaranteed, you may want to schedule your facial a minimum of four to five days before any important event in order to allow your skin plenty of time to recover.

Are you a Candidate for BIOTEC Spa Facials?

ELEMIS BIOTEC Spa Facials are amazing and are the best facials available combining ELEMIS hands-on techniques with the latest in technology to stimulate and rejuvenate the skin. However, under certain conditions, a BIOTEC Spa Facial may not be the best solution for you, and you should have a Traditional ELEMIS Spa Facial (without the BIOTEC technology).
